Rolling out at pace.

It’s been a busy and exciting period as we continue to build momentum with GOOD FOOD RETAIL expanding into more convenience stores nationwide through our local council partnerships.

Fantastic to report that we now have Kent County Council on board, with Rice Marketing supporting the rollout to 8 new stores in Folkestone.

Applying our proven approach to Kent rollout

By applying Good Food Retail’s Healthier 100 Lines Framework to each store, we recommend product selection for council-funded stock drops — helping to boost retailer confidence in stocking healthier options and ultimately increasing access to more affordable, healthier food within local communities.

Building on what has worked well in other areas, we also provided store owners with new marketing assets to promote their Good Food Retail network affiliation to customers through leafleting and social media, helping to drive awareness and engagement.

Revisiting and expanding in Oxfordshire

And it doesn’t stop there… we’ve been working with Oxfordshire County Council to revisit and gain insight from our stores in Blackbird Leys and Banbury, while also expanding into Berinsfield and Abingdon. This has brought a further 5 stores into the network, building on existing success and strengthening local impact.

Working in partnership

These partnerships demonstrate what’s possible when councils, wholesalers and retailers collaborate to support healthier choices at a neighbourhood level.
